In the second to last week of this half-term, ROC hosted the highly anticipated ROC 25 event, bringing three full days packed with exciting and engaging activities for students to enjoy. It was a week full of adventure, teamwork, creativity, and fun, creating special memories for everyone involved!

The event featured a variety of experiences, including outdoor adventures like den building, pond dipping, and orienteering at Austerfield Study Centre & Community Hub. Sports enthusiasts got their share of action at Rotherham Leisure Complex, while animal lovers had a fantastic time walking alpacas at Holly Hagg.
Students also took part in a sponsored walk at Clifton Park, showing incredible determination and teamwork. Their effort and enthusiasm made the event a huge success, and it was fantastic to see everyone supporting one another.
Community involvement continued with bag packing at Tesco, where students helped out in the store while building confidence and communication skills.
Evenings were just as exciting, with Movie Night and a Disco, and no ROC disco would be complete without the Macarena, which was an absolute hit!
Creativity and self-expression were a huge part of the celebrations, with students getting involved in music sessions, sensory circuits and clay self-portraits to reflect on their incredible week at college. The activities encouraged them to explore new interests, build confidence and most importantly have fun.
A huge thank you to all staff and students who made ROC fantastic success. The smiles, teamwork, and enthusiasm made it an unforgettable experience and we can’t wait to do it all again next time!
