Last Friday, Clifton Park was filled with sunshine, celebration and community spirit as students and staff from Rotherham Opportunities College came together for our first ever Pride in the Park.
The full-day event was a joyful celebration of inclusion, packed with sport, games, drama and music. What made the day extra special were the students performance, which had been carefully rehearsed during enrichment sessions.
The drama piece focused on the power of acceptance, exploring the importance of family and friends supporting one another regardless of sexuality or identity. In the music performance, students gave a heartfelt rendition of Don’t Worry, Be Happy, which captured the uplifting spirit of the day.
A huge thank you to Asda for providing tasty snacks, and to The Rainbow Project – Rotherham for adding even more colour and excitement with games and decorations.
Pride in the Park was a true celebration of self-expression, community and kindness. We are proud of everyone who took part and look forward to many more moments like this in the future.
